Robin has managed, led and supported non-profit organizations for over 25 years, combining education and front-line experience to achieve practical working solutions. With a proven track record as a trainer and facilitator, Robin gets the best from speakers and participants alike. He has helped hundreds of charitable organizations to actualize their vision and prosper through challenging times, and over time has fundraised over a billion dollars.

sunbutton Philip Gates, Associate

Current activities (2005 to the present)

Philip is an advisor in philanthropy who assists charitable organizations and not-for-profits as an Associate of SourceGroup. He works with clients to develop and implement successful programs that create a charitable culture that attracts and maintains volunteer support and donor loyalty. He is also involved in advancing innovative strategies that match the wishes and expectations of the donor with the specific needs of the charity. Philip is also involved in his community as a Synod Delegate of his Church and a local Board Chair of Policy Development for Federal and Provincial political parties.

Background: over 30 years as tax advisor and as a former tax partner of an international C.A. firm, involved as a seminar/workshop developer/presenter, public speaker, and authoring topical tax planning subjects. Philip co-authored McGraw-Hill Ryerson’s The New Heir’s Guide to Managing Your Inheritance and has a life-long commitment to the fast-track TEAM approach to planning involving the collaboration by the Client’s professional advisors to develop, implement and monitor the Client’s estate plan in concert. Philip is an Honorary Life Member of the Toronto Estate Planning Council and long-time Taxation Chair of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce.

Current activities (2005 to the present)

Micaela is SourceGroup’s editorial and computer consultant and Events Coordinator including: Building Community Strategies conference in Nanaimo (2007); Canadian Massed Pipes & Drums (Victoria Day 2003); Accent Inns Charity Fair Expo (Victoria & Vancouver 2009); Oak Bay Palm Tree Sale (2004)
