Learn - Imagine - Plan

 

In recognition of challenging Times, SourceGroup presents a program to assist Staff, Board and Supporters to look at the current realities, extend your borders of opportunity and plan for the future.

Learn, Imagine, Plan can be applied to one particular subject or to the overall operation of the organization.

It is offered in three components, each of which can stand alone, but are much more effective if combined over a reasonably short period of time. An excellent option is to combine the whole program into a two day intensive workshop.

Learn:

• Reality Check, a 30 – 60 minute experience that will give your team a sense of what is going on around you in the non-profit world. Hard numbers, realistic expectations, fun and highly educational. Provided free of charge to Board Sessions, Community Meetings, Retreats and Annual Meetings in the Victoria area.

 

Imagine:

• There Be Dragons. In the history of ancient China there was a philosophy that if you went too far to sea or over the distant mountains, you would fall off the Earth and be consumed by dragons.
• From there came the thought that falling outside your boundaries may not be a bad thing, but may provide opportunities – outside the box that is outside the box.
• Thus, There Be Dragons, a three hour interactive and entertaining workshop for volunteers, staff and investor/donors that forgets the past and unleashes the imagination of “what if?” It is conducted in a way where everyone is comfortable, but challenged to look forward without constraint. Opportunities Report provided within 48 hours.

 

Plan:

• Day with the Devil’s Advocate: Update your Strategic Plan, or address a high priority opportunity for sustainability.
• Reinforce your vision, mission and deliverables in challenging times with the Board and Management Team with new ideas and approaches.
• This program takes your selected Team members through a three-step process of (1) preparation with senior staff and Board leadership, (2) one-day intensive strategy session for the whole team and (3) a full written Report within 72 hours. Presentation included.

 

The overall result is a freshened Team, a renewed and updated approach, stronger commitment from all and a totally worthwhile experience.

Fees for “Dragons” and Devil’s Advocate” are modest and entirely fundable by current or prospective donors without affecting the operating budget.
